I am a senior research fellow on a Melbourne Water-funded Melbourne Waterway Protection and Restoration Science-Practice Partnership. I am based at the Waterway Ecosystem Research Group (WERG) at the School of Ecosystem and Forest Sciences (University of Melbourne, Burnley Campus).
My research interests and experience lie in applying ecological and decision-analytic theory, models and methods to conservation and ecosystem/natural resource management problems.
Many such problems involve complex biophysical, social and economic interactions and are often fraught with uncertainty. This has led me to multi- and interdisciplinary collaborations in search of more effective methods and tools for transparent, rigorous, pragmatically-informed and robust decision support for a range of environmental problems.
